The Clerk’s Role
The Clerk of Circuit Court serves as the official custodian of court records, responsible for maintaining the accuracy and confidentiality of all documents filed within the county’s judicial system. Beyond recordkeeping, the office manages essential administrative functions such as overseeing jury selection, collecting court-ordered fines and fees, and acting as the primary fiscal and administrative link between the judiciary and the public.
